It is my pleasure, on behalf of the conference organizers and sponsors, to welcome you to the
International Conference on Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics. This time, the Conference is held in the historic city of Nanjing. Nanjing was one of the six major capitals in ancient China, where ten Chinese dynasties set up their central governments at one time or another. The Conference venue is located in the Nanjing University of Science and Technology, one of key universities in China and is very close to the beautiful Zhongshan
scenery area and Xiao Mausoleum of the Ming
Dynasty, which was honored "World Cultural
Heritage" by the UN Organization of Science,
Education and Culture

the 3rd
International Conference on Mechanical
Engineering and Mechanics, Beijing,
China. As ¡°the capital of a thousand years¡±,

Olympics, scientific Olympics and humanized

(Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society)
will host the ICOMES (International Congress
of Mechanical Engineering Societies) in
Beijing. The seven academic activities,
including the 3rd ICMEM and the ICOMES, will
compose ¡°the 2009 CMES Annual Conference¡±
¡¡¡¡
